Each year, 2 million healthcare, veterinary, laboratory workers are injured by syringe needles. That's one injury every 15 seconds. One needlestick injury at the wrong time can have life-changing implications. Our cofounders know first-hand the pain of a needlestick injury, and the frustration afterwards of not finding a suitable way to prevent it. With a customer-focused mindset we are creating sharps solutions for every worker in every workplace.

Did you know that needle-caps are 100% recyclable?
​More than 16 billion needles are used every year - that's 100 blue whales worth of recyclable needle caps that get thrown away every year!​ We are committed in supporting sustainable material recycling practices, collecting and rerouting plastic caps to local recycling programs. The NeedleAID Green Recycling Unit makes responsible needle-cap use safe and efficient in your research facility or clinic.​ Our Green Subscription Package is customizable for your facility, clinic or lab, and we can accept a wide array of single-use plastics, including masks, gowns, wrappers, needle-caps and more!
“It feels inevitable because it is pretty wasteful. A lot of the packaging in healthcare products is pretty wasteful, but through necessity because we have to keep everything sterile, whereas the caps seem recyclable. It serves its purpose for 20 seconds or so, then its job is done…As long as the product [cap] has not been contaminated, then it is easily recyclable. Much less wasteful I would say.“
